Kenya Kenya Police and AFC Leopards draw, newbies Shabana suffers defeat

Kenya Police and AFC Leopards are still seeking their first victories in the FKF Premier League this campaign following their 2-2 draw at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.

The game began with former Azam FC and Gor Mahia Kenneth Muguna finding the back of the net for the Law Enforcers with only six minutes played, slotting home from close range. However, AFC Leopards swiftly responded just nine minutes later, with Mahiga setting up Brian Yakhama in the box to level the scoreline.

In the 60th minute, Kenya Police conceded a penalty, which was converted by Cliff Nyakeya, giving Ingwe the lead for the first time in the fixture but Police managed to salvage a point with a last-minute goal via Toha Rashid.

Meanwhile, in another match, despite FC Talanta taking an early lead in the seventh minute when Kisakah set up Ombija, who slotted the ball home, they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bidco United. Bidco ensured they got into halftime on even terms as Francis Oduor headed in from a corner kick. In the second half, Ezekiel Okare scored twice with headers in the 66th and 83rd minutes, securing a victory for his team.

Elsewhere, Shabana conceded yet again in the 90th minute to go down 1-0 against visiting Kariobangi Sharks at Homabay Stadium. The lone goal came from Geoffrey Onyango. At the Ruaraka Grounds, Tusker’s David Odoyo scored the decisive goal in the 69th minute, securing a 1-0 victory over Muhoroni Youth.
