Nigeria FIFA 2026 WCQ: Peseiro Arrives Uyo Ahead Of Lesotho Game

Prior to Thursday’s FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Lesotho, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro arrived in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, on Sunday.

Peseiro arrived at the Victor Attah International Airport accompanied by his foreign helpers, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos, and Vitor Hugo, and was welcomed by Prince Bonny Nyong, the Chairman of the State Football Normalisation Committee.

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo by 5 p.m., Nigeria would play Lesotho in a FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier.

For this month’s World Cup qualifying matches against Zimbabwe and Lesotho, the Portuguese strategist has called up twenty-three players.

Eight players are anticipated to report to camp on Monday, as per the team’s travel plan, and fifteen more are scheduled to join on Tuesday for the first comprehensive training session before to the game.
