Egypt FIFA 2026 WCQ: Salah Score Four Goals As Pharaohs Beat Djibouti

The Pharaohs of Egypt got their 2026 World Cup qualifiers Campaign with a resounding 6-0 win against Djibouti on Thursday.

Captain Mohamed Salah headlined the one sided game as he scored four times and took his goal tally for Egypt past 50.

Salah has now scored 53 goals in 93 appearances for the Pharaohs.

The Liverpool forward opened scoring in the 17th minute from a Mohamed assist.

Three minutes, Salah doubled the lead from the spot after a foul inside the area that the referee awared.

Egypt went to the break with two goals in their kitty scored by Salah.

The second half was nothing short of what was seen in the first as the host outplayed their visitors as Salah completed hos hat trick in the 49th minute.

The Pharaohs made it 4-0 in the 68th minute as Salah netted his 53rd international goal.

It became a matter of how many more as Mohamed found his name in the score sheet to make it 5-0 before Trezeguet put an icing to the cake in the 89 minutes to complete it 6-0.

Egypt now look set to dominate their group and secure a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, having missed out on the Qatar World Cup last year.
