Nigeria NFF Extends Registration Deadline For 2024 Federation Cup

The 2024 Federation Cup registration period has been extended by two weeks by the Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF.

Ruth David, Acting Director of Competitions, notifies all Football Association Secretaries in a circular dated November 30, 2023, that late registration will result in a fine.

The state semifinals and championship game of the nation’s oldest football league, however, have no set date according to the federation.

Additionally, the football organization set the registration fees at N100,000 for women’s teams and N150,000 for men’s teams. Late registration would cost N120,000 for women’s teams and N200,000 for men’s teams, respectively.

Remember that Bendel Insurance defeated Rangers, their longtime rivals, 1-0 to win the FA Cup in 2023.

After all clubs have qualified from their respective states, the competition is a single elimination knockout event with 74 teams from the 36 states and one team from the Federal Capital Territory.
