CAF Champions League Al Ahly must have respect for Yanga SC – Kohler

Al Ahly coach Marcel Kohler has called on his charges not to underrate Young Africans (Yanga SC) when the two sides face off in their CAF Champions League fixture on Saturday.

According to Kohler, Yanga, who kicked off their Group D campaign with a 3-0 defeat against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad have what it takes to cause an upset because they possess quality players in their squad.

“They [Yanga] are a strong and organized team achieving good results lately,” outlined the Swiss trainer as quoted by CAFOnline, adding: “We must make a big effort against Yanga but always play to win and respect every competitor.”

Following Belouizdad’s 3-0 win over the Tanzanian champions last time out the Egyptians can displace their Algerian rivals in the first spot by protecting their perfect Group D record on the road. But with Coach Kohler very wary of this opponent’s significant threat, straightforward progression seems unlikely as the seasoned Ahly squad’s mettle faces further African examination.
