Nigeria AFCON 2023: Injury May Force Ndidi, Iheanacho From Super Eagles Squad

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho will be left out of the Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro’s final roster for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Due to their injuries, it seems unlikely that the Leicester City duo will be ready for the competition in Ivory Coast.

Ndidi was not present for Monday night’s 4-1 victory at home against Huddersfield Town, and Iheanacho has missed the last two Championship games for the Foxes because of a muscle issue.

Terem Moffi and Alhassan Yusuf could take the places of Ndidi and Iheanacho.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Eagles have already started setting up camp.

Most of the invited players are anticipated to travel from their various locations throughout Europe to Abu Dhabi.
