Following a 0-0 draw with Tanzania at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Wednesday, DR Congo finished as the runners-up in Group F and advanced to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last 16.

The Leopards finished with three points, four behind Egypt, who defeated Zambia 1-0 in the concurrent match at Laurent Pokou Stadium, despite not winning any of their first three games in the competition.

This allowed them to advance to the knockout stages.

Both teams shared 50% of the possession in a cagey first half, but DR Congo enjoyed the most of the better opportunities.
