Morocco has received an offer from the South America Cup organisers to take part in the competition, which is being held in the US this year.
Because of the manner Morocco represented Africa in the World Cup and advanced to the semi-finals, the commission officials decided to extend this offer.
The 48th COPA America competition will take place in June and July of the following year.
The COPA America tournament will see Morocco become the first African nation to compete. Occasionally, a nation from another continent will be invited to compete as a visitor.
