Tanzania Chama nets two as Simba SC thrash Mashujaa to move second

A brace from Clatous Chama steered Simba SC to the second slot on the Tanzanian Premier League table.

The Reds have disappointed Mashujaa 2-0 at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Friday night. Chama found the back of the net in the 57th and 72nd minute respectively to stun the visitors.

As such, the Reds now have 45 points from 19 matches, one point above third-placed Azam FC. Also, Abdelhak Benchikha’s side are trailing leaders Young Africans (Yanga SC) with seven points after playing 19 games apiece.

On Sunday, it will be a Dar es Salaam Derby day as Azam welcome Yanga at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city.
