Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, , won’t be playing when the Super Eagles take on their Mali counterparts on Tuesday.

The Fulham defender was instrumental in helping the Super Eagles go to the African Cup of Nations final in 2023, which was held in Ivory Coast.

Although the left-footed player reported to the national team camp for the doubleheader friendly, he was not there for the match against the Ghanaian Black Stars.

Bassey hasn’t been able to practice with the team since his arrival, according to sources from the team’s camp, and it’s safe to say that he won’t participate in Tuesday’s game in Marrakech against the Eagles of Mali.
