Uganda Vipers SC and rivals SC Villa fight to draw in league contest

There was no separating Ugandan Premier League defending champions, Vipers SC, and record 16-time winners, SC Villa, as the duo played out a 0-0 draw at Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

The draw, Vipers’ sixth and Villa’s eighth, have them in third and fourth on 42 and 21 points respectively with seven matches left to play. Right above them are table leaders, Kitara, on 44 points, one ahead of BUL.

These two have, however, played one game more than Vipers and Villa. Teams one to four are separated by a point each, with four points distancing first from fifth-placed league debutants, NEC.

Vipers return to league action on April 19 against leaders Kitara in Masindi, while Villa host Soltilo Bright Stars two days later.
