Basile Boli votes Drogba as the best African footballer of 2012. The verdict will be announced this Thursday, during the opening ceremonies of CAF Awards.

“I really want Didier Drogba to win because he deserves it. Didier should be rewarded for his outstanding final won in Champions League with Chelsea. He has done so much for Africa as he is still doing it. What he brought to the football is huge. He is almost at the end of his career whether the other footballers have all the time to do better than him”, said Basile Boli.

The former Marseille defender also cares about Yaya Touré, who made a good season and holds the African Trophy.”Yaya Touré is a formidable competitor. He is one of the five best players in the world but he has the whole future ahead of him”

The third player in competition is the Cameroonian midfielder Alexandre Song.
