Africa Ahmed Musa : Super Eagles Captain Back to the Pitch in good Shape

Ahmed Musa scored for the first time this season leading Al-Nassr to a 2-0 away win at Abha, reports AOIFootball.com. This is after Super Eagles captain being restored to the starting and he showed great shape performance.

Former Leicester City striker was introduced from the bench during last week’s embarrassing 4-1 loss at home to Al-Hilal Saudi. He returned to the starting XI as the visitors expected to earn their first win post COVID-19.

In what was a one-sided first 45 minutes, the visitors failed to make their possession count. As they were largely wasteful in front of goal with the first half ending goalless.

The Eagles speedster then turned up the heat in the second half. Going down under a challenge in the box ten minutes into the half with top scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah stepping up to convert for 1-0.

Musa then got his first goal since April of 2019 moments later when he received a pass from Khalid  Al-Ghannam. And then speeding past the goalkeeper before tucking into an empty net. Making the score 2-0 and seal all three points for Al-Nassr.

The 27-year-old was deservedly named man of the match. As he earned a game rating of 8.6, made 3 key passes, completed 100% of his take-ons. And he also won an impressive 9 of his 11 duels.
