Listed in group D for the 2021 Men’s Handball World Cup, the Democratic Republic of Congo now knows its first challengers. The draw took place last Saturday in Cairo. The Congolese men’s handball team will therefore challenge Bahrain, Argentina and Denmark to expect cross the first step.

For their first participation, the challenges for the Leopards will be heavy. Jean de Dieu Mukendi spoke about the difficulties that this Congolese team may encounter.

“This is a first one for the gentlemen (Leopards). And in all honesty, we will not go for the trophy. But just taste the high level and acquire experience that we need in order to make a good figure in Africa and hope quickly return to the world championship. Never mind, we’ll do what is necessary not to be ridiculous. Our mission will be to beat Bahrain and bring home a victory like the ladies did,” He told Eventsrdc columns.
