Uncategorised LMC Approves 13 Stadia As NPFL Restart Date Egde Closer

The League Management Company, (LMC) has released the list of 13 stadia that have been approved ahead of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The disclosure was made in a statement by the LMC as the restart date for the new season draw closer.
LMC the statement also revealed other stadia than requires upgrade and repair.
The NPFL organizer said some of the stadia listed for upgrade and repair requires relaying of new playing surfaces (pitches), provision of floodlights, TV camera platforms, upgrade of changing rooms, additional exit & entry gates among others.
Africatopsports.com learnt from the statement released by LMC that clubs whose stadium need upgrade and repair can choose from any of the approved stadia, if they cannot complete the upgrade before the season kick off.

The stadia approved by the LMC are;
Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos; Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo; Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin; Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba; Okigwe Township Stadium; Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi; Pantami Stadium, Gombe.
Others are Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi; Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna; Enyimba Stadium, Aba; Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina; Ilorin Township Stadium.
The stadia listed for upgrade/ repair are;
Umuahia Township Stadium; Dutse Township Stadium; Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano; Agege Stadium; Akure Stadium; Warri City Stadium; New Jos Stadium; Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu; Lafia Township Stadium; Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium, Nnewi; Fufure Stadium, Yola.
Part of the statement reads;
The stadia listed for upgrade/repair require relaying of new playing surfaces (pitches), provision of floodlights, TV camera platforms, upgrade of changing rooms, additional exit & entry gates among others.”
“Umuahia Township Stadium & Dutse Township Stadium are however recommended for complete remodelling & reconstruction.”
After delays due to the ongoing mandatory club licensing, the 2020/2021 NPFL season is tentatively scheduled to kickoff November 15.
