Africa Soccer Mhango ruled out for 2 weeks

Malawi top striker Gabadinho Mhango has reportedly been ruled out for two weeks following an injury he suffered last week while playing for his South African club, Orlando Pirates.

Mhango limped off during a DStv Premiership match which ended 1-1 against Stellenbosch FC two weeks ago.

Malawi coach Meke Mwase confirmed to The Nation newspaper that Mhango would miss action for two weeks.

“He has been given two weeks of rest and I will not have a picture until an assessment is done again. He has been in our plans all along and he is still in our plans for the games,” Mwase is quoted as saying.

Malawi is in group B of the qualifiers alongside Uganda, South Sudan and Burkina Faso.
