Egypt Pitso Mosimane admits “there is a lot of pressure at Al Ahly”

Pitso Mosimane

Currently in isolation as he tested positive to Covid-19, Pitso Mosimane reveals that he lives daily with pressure at Al Ahly.

Pitso joined the Cairo-based outfit in October in substitution of Swiss manager Rene Weiler who left his post to have more time alongside his family.

With the Egyptian Premier League being already secured by his predecessor, Mosimane helped Al Ahly in clinching the CAF Champions league and the Egypt Cup.

However, things are not as easy as the results we all see. A lot of pressure come from the club officials as they eye treble each season.

“It is a strange feeling to play a game every three days as when you win such titles you usually take a break and go on vacation. But let’s be honest, the COVID-19 pandemic made this year strange and special,” Pitso told Al Ahly’s official website.

“There is a lot of pressure when you coach a big club like Al Ahly as it is normal to win the league title and the board always targets the treble every year, which we did this season,” added the 56-year-old tactician who vows to back soon with the Red Devils.
