Uncategorised PRE-CHAN TOURNEY : UGANDA HAND FORMER COACH MICHO DEFEAT

Uganda gave their former coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic an unpleasant welcome on Monday during a pre-African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament in Cameroon.

Uganda beat Micho-led Zambia 2-0 in the warm up match for CHAN scheduled for Cameroon from January 16 to February 7 2021.

Vianne Sekajugo and Steven Mukwala scored the goals for the Cranes at Annex 1-Omnisports in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Federation of Uganda Football Association website said the match provided a platform for friends to clash.

Prior to the match, the big talk was on two old friends Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry and Chipolopolo’s Milutin Micho Sredojevic.

Micho took Uganda back to AFCON Finals after 39 years of waiting in 2016, so there was every reason for emotions and news headlines to be created from this moment,” reads the website.

Uganda have four points after drawing 1-1 with Cameroon in the opening match.

Cranes will return to action on Thursday against Niger whereas Zambia date Cameroon on the same day. Zambia and Niger drew 3-3 on Saturday.
