Yannick Ndjeng will not take place in the CHAN 2020 third place game with Cameroon. After having a clash with the assistant coach in the semifinals against Morocco, the striker was excluded from the group by the Federation.

A few days after his exclusion, Ndjeng regrets his behaviour. And he gave explaination of what happened. He apologized to his teammates via a Whatsapp audio that leaked into the media.

“When the coach took me out, I felt like I didn’t do what I wanted to do. So, between the anger and everything, I didn’t control my nerves. I thought at that moment it was better to have more attackers on the field. After all, it still remains my thought. I expressed it in the wrong way. So I apologize.” He said.
