Kenyan Premier League Gor Mahia appoint German coach Andreas Speir

Kenya’s Premier League giants Gor Mahia have unveiled German Andres Speir as their new coach.

We are pleased to announce Andreas Speir from Germany as our new head coach,” Gor Mahia tweeted on Tuesday.
Speir will have on the technical bench assistant coach Michael Nam and Boniface Oluoch as goalkeeper trainer on an interim basis.

Speir has returned to Kenya where he served as technical director some years ago.

He also coached across the borders in Rwanda, leading APR to a domestic league title.

Gor Mahia hired Speir days after parting ways with Mark Harrisson following a 3-0 loss to Posta Rangers.

The club also released Harisson’s assistant Sammy Omolo and goalkeepers’ trainer Jerim Onyango.

Harrison had joined the Nairobi side last August to replace Portuguese Vaz Pinto.

Gor Mahia are Kenya’s most successful club boasting 19 domestic league titles and 10 domestic cups plus three Cecafa Club Championship titles.
