FIFA U20 WORLD CUP Qatar 2022: Cameroon Risks Missing Out Of World Cup

A legal battle may prevent the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon from competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Le Coq Sportif, the supplier of the team’s uniforms and equipment, and the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) are now engaged in a legal dispute.

The Paris Commercial Court took up the case, decided in favor of Le Coq Sportif, and ordered the Cameroonian squad to compete in the World Cup wearing the outfits provided by the kit suppliers.

FIFA concurred with the court’s decision and urged Le Coq Sportif to keep supplying the nation of West Africa with sporting goods.

However, FECAFOOT made the unpopular decision to unilaterally end its contract with the French apparel manufacturer and instead elected to work out a deal with American business One All Sport.
