Victor Osimhen has been awarded as Serie A Player of the Month for January following his outstanding performance for the club.

Osimhen made four league appearances for Napoli during the month, scoring five goals and adding one assist.

The 24-year-old was the previous winner of the Goal of the Month honor for his fierce goal in Napoli’s 2-1 victory over AS Roma.

The forward won the prize ahead of Ademola Lookman of his national side, Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan, Paulo Dybala of Roma, and Luis Alberto of Lazio.

This season, Osimhen has received three nominations for the honor.

With 16 goals in 17 appearances, the Nigerian international is now the highest scorer in the Italian top division.

On Saturday, when Napoli plays Cremonese, he is anticipated to play.
