Asia Ighalo Predicts Tough Game Against Urawa Red Diamonds

The first leg of the Asian Champions League final between Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan and Al Hilal, according to Odion Ighalo, will be a struggle.

In addition to successfully defending their title, the Blue Waves hope to win it a third time.

Al Hilal supporters will be counting on Ighalo to perform admirably for them in the match.

The Nigerian scored seven goals to help Ramon Diaz’s team advance to the championship.

We have prepared well throughout this season and played tough matches before the final, which gives us tremendous confidence to give our maximum energy to win the title,” the forward told a press conference ahead of the game.

The 33-year-old is taking part in the competition’s championship game for the first time.

Ighalo wants to make a lasting impression by helping his side win the championship.

“I will participate in my first final in this tournament and I am very about it.

“I have talked to my fellow players about the previous finals, and we will fight to win the title.

“We know the match is not easy and we will face a strong team. I and my teammates will do our best to achieve victory,” he added.

On May 6, the second leg will take place at Saitama Stadium.
