Former Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki has been named new Kaizer Chiefs as the club statement confirmed on Wednesday.

The 53-year old tactician spent two years (2019-2021) at the helm of South Africa national team.

So far, he was working as the Head of Youth and Technical Development at Kaizer Chiefs.

But now, he will replace Arthur Zwane from 2023/24 season with the latter becoming his assistant.

“Kaizer Chiefs are pleased to formally announce the appointment of Molefi Ntseki as the new Head Coach of the first team, effective immediately”, the club statement reads.

“We would like to congratulate Coach Ntseki and thank him for accepting this huge responsibility. We know it’s not an easy task but we believe his experience and knowledge will help us improve and achieve our goals as Kaizer Chiefs,” the club’s CEO, Dr Kaizer Motaung said.

“He has been here for two years, working well with Coaches Arthur and Dillon in his role as Head of Technical, and will now work with them in a different capacity.”
