AFCON Afcon Qualifiers: Sredojevic summons Uganda squad for Niger game

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has named the provisional squad that will prepare for the final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

The Serbian tactician has summoned 33 players who will enter the residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisasi starting Monday, 14th August 2023 Goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who is unattached to any club has been summoned. Ibrahim Kasule and Frank Sebufu who have had a decent start to their career at New York Red Bull are part of the named team.

Defender Bevis Mugabi, who features for Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership, has also been summoned.

The squad is composed of 33 players and will enter the residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisasi starting Monday, August 28. Uganda will play Niger on September 7 at Grand Stade Marrakech in Morocco. Uganda Cranes is third in Group F on four points and victory against Niger coupled with a defeat for Tanzania against Algeria will be enough for Uganda to qualify.
