Nigeria Premier League Nigeria Premier League New Season Postponed To September 8

The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League NPL season kick off date has been postponed from August 26 to September 8-10.

The management of the NPL said the reason for the postponement by two weeks was to have more time to ensure that the NPFL Live App was ready for next month and also to test the camera and training ongoing at various stadia.

The NPL noted that clubs that are involved in continental action will also start the season with the other 16 clubs..

However, the draws for the new season which was schedule to hold in Lagos this Thursday has been postponed.

It will now hold same day as the AGM which is scheduled for August 24th.

According to reports, the postponement was at the interest of the Club Owners who suggested that the draw and AGM should hold same day.
