Uganda Uganda midfielder Allan Okello part ways with Paradou AC

Algeria top flight side Paradou AC have terminated Allan Okello’s contract and the former KCCA FC midfielder is currently a free agent.

This was confirmed by Okello on his social media handles, who said: “I want to exercise my gratitude to Paradou AC for the journey we have had together. After careful consideration, we have mutually agreed to terminate my contract,” adding: “The decision was not made lightly, and it comes after extensive reflection on both my personal and profession aspirations. I believe this is the right step for both parties and an extension for the next chapter in my career.

“I want to thank the fans, my teammates, and everyone at the club for the support throughout my time here. I will always cherish the memories we have created together and wish the club continued success in the future.”

The 23-year-old midfielder joined Paradou AC in 2020 and signed a 4 year contract which was to run till January 21, 2024. Okello did not find life good at Paradou AC due to limited playing time. Due to that, in September last year, he was loaned to his former club KCCA where he scored six goals in 27 league games last season.

At the end of the last campaign, the Kasasiro Boys showed interest in retaining the player permanently but the two clubs failed to agree on the fee. Before moving to Algeria, Okello had scored 39 goals in 112 games for KCCA. He scored a hat trick against Onduparaka FC on his debut on February 27, 2017, the match KCCA won 7-1.
