Rwanda APR, Rayon Sports shift focus to domestic league after CAF exit

Rayon Sports and APR FC have turned their focus to the Rwanda Premier League after failing to reach the group stages of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

The league champions failed to perform well in continental competitions and were dumped out of the CAF Champions League by Pyramids of Egypt 6-1 on aggregate while Rayon Sports were eliminated by Al Hilal Benghazi on penalty shootouts.

APR FC host Musanze on Friday, October 6, at 18:00 p.m. at Kigali Pelé Stadium. Rayon Sports will face Marines FC on Saturday, October 7, at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu District.

After five games played in the First Division Championship, Musanze FC leads the table with 10 points, three points ahead of APR FC. Rayon Sports is ninth with five points, level with Marines FC.
