Nigeria Olympic Qualifier: NFF Invite Oshoala, Nnadozie Others For Ethiopia Game

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale, and forward Asisat Oshoala have all received invitations from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), along with 19 other players, to the Super Falcons’ camp in preparation for this month’s match against the Senior Women National Team of Ethiopia.

The NFF news statement states that Ethiopia will host the first leg of the second-round match in Addis Abeba on Wednesday, October 25, while Nigeria will host the second game on Tuesday, October 31. As Nigeria, the nine-time defending champions of Africa, had a bye, Ethiopia defeated Chad in the opening round of the series.

The Super Falcons received a bye to the third round of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification series after Sao Tome and Principe’s senior girls withdrew from the match.

At the end of November, the third round of that series will pit the Falcons against their Cape Verdean opponents.

Next year’s Women’s Olympic Football Tournament will take place in Paris, France.
