Asia Nine Qatar Stadium To Host 24 Teams In 2024 Asian Cup

The local organising committee announced on Monday that the Asian Cup in Qatar will be spread across nine stadiums, including seven locations that were used for the World Cup last year.

Hassan Al Kuwari, the committee’s executive director for marketing and communications, said that the competition, which will feature the finest players from all of Asia competing for glory, would generate a tonne of interest.

The event will take place from January 12 to February 20.

The opening game and championship game will be played in Lusail Stadium, which has 88,966 seats and previously hosted the World Cup final.

Six groups will be formed from the tournament’s 24 participating teams.

The stadiums for the seven World Cup matches are Lusail, Al Bayt, Khalifa International, Al Janoub, Ahmad bin Ali, Al Thumama, and Education City.

Jassim bin Hamad Stadium and Abdulla bin Khalifa Stadium will be used in addition to these two locations.

Hosts The title was won by Qatar in 2019, following a remarkable unbeaten streak, making them the reigning champions.

China, Tajikistan, and Lebanon are the other members of Qatar’s Group A.
