Due to the situation in Israel and Gaza, UEFA confirmed on Thursday that the Sunday qualifier between Kosovo and Israel for Euro 2024 has been postponed.

Israeli authorities presently forbid their national squad from travelling abroad, according to a statement from UEFA, the body that governs European football.

“A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.”

“All matches scheduled” in Israel “in the next couple of weeks” had already been postponed by UEFA on Sunday, the day following the unexpected Hamas onslaught.

The organising authority has moved Israel’s match versus Switzerland from this Thursday to next Wednesday, November 15, with an undetermined location.

Israel’s matches in the European Under-21 Championship and their participation in an Under-17 mini-tournament have also been postponed.
