Lionel Messi is now the player with the most Ballon d’or points in history surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo after his eighth triumph last Monday in Paris, France.

France Football released the votes for Ballon d’or 2023 and Messi got more than 100 points (462) over Erling Haaland (357) who was second in the final ranking.
The 36-year old has now a total of 4036 Ballon d’or points being the first player to reach that milestone and setting the record for most points ahead of his best enemy Cristiano Ronaldo who has 3781 points.
