Kenya Salim Babu to handle U17 team for CECAFA as Odipo handed U15

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have named Salim Babu the head coach of the Kenya U17 team that will take part in the regional CECAFA tournament set for Kenya in December.

Babu, who is currently working as the assistant coach to Zdravko Logarusic at Premier League outfit Kenya Police, will be assisted by Anthony Akhulia, and Peter Mayoyo while Ronny Oyando will be the team manager. Others on the U17 technical bench include goalkeeper trainer Samuel Koko and kit manager Jectan Oitang’or.

Meanwhile, Leonard Odipo of Mathare United will be in charge of the men’s U15 team and will be assisted by Hesbon Nyabinge while Ben Achieng will be the team manager. Lawrence Suji will be the physiotherapist, Noel Mandi the team doctor, George Wambugu goalkeeper trainer, and Isaac Munene kit manager.

In the same breath, FKF also named Jackline Akoth as the coach for the women’s U15 team and will be assisted by Leah Kigame, Rosemary Wairimu will be the team manager, Esther Aluoch physiotherapist, Edith Macharia team doctor, Pauline Awuor goalkeeper trainer, and Rebecca Auma kit manager.
