UEFA Champions League UEFA Hands Rashford One-Match Ban After Red Card Against Copenhagen

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, was shown red in the encounter against Copenhagen and will miss one Champions League match as a result, according to UEFA’s announcement on Friday.

The 26-year-old will not play for United on Wednesday against Galatasaray, but he will be eligible for the team’s final group match against Bayern Munich at home since UEFA determined that his actions constituted rough play rather than serious rough play.

After four games, United is at the bottom of Group A with three points, but is just one point behind Copenhagen and Galatasaray. Bayern leads the group with all of its points, securing their place as the victors.
