A certain FC Barcelona player says Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol even though he picked Lionel Messi as the greatest player of all-time.
The GOAT debate between Messi and Ronaldo has always genrated controversy in world football as it’s rare to hear an opinion which is shared unanimously by the fans.
Speaking in an interview, Barcelona left-winger Ferran Torres chose the Argentina captain and former Blaugranas skipper as the best player in history.

However, he also gave some credit to his arch-rival Ronalo who according to him is to be congratulated for having won five Ballon d’or in the Messi era.
“I think Leo [is the best in history]”, Torres said, as per Marca.
“What Leo [Lionel Messi] has done, I have not seen anyone do. I haven’t seen Maradona or Pelé, there was even Ronaldinho when I was very young, but Messi, to be there for 20 years, every year scoring 50 goals and 50 assists is crazy.
“But I also have to tell you that for me, Cristiano is a leader, an idol, because to compete and take Ballon d’Or away from the best player in history, that has an incredible merit.”
