Nigeria’s Super Eagles did not move in the rankings in the most recent ranking published by the governing body of World Soccer for November 2023.
The Super Eagles’ two November 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Warriors of Zimbabwe and the Crocodiles of Lesotho ended in defeat.
They had draws in both games, which appears to have hurt them in the most recent rankings.

Super Eagles held their sixth place on the continent and their 40th place ranking in the world.
The Teranga Lions of Senegal are ranked second in Africa and twentieth worldwide, while Morocco continues to be the best-ranked nation in Africa, standing at 13th in the world and first on the continent.
