Napoli, the Serie A winners, announced on Friday that they had acquired Hellas Verona’s Belgian winger Cyril Ngonge.

Local media reports claim that the deal was valued at approximately 18 million euros ($19.60 million) in addition to add-ons.

“From Brussels to Napoli. “Welcome to Cyril,” the team wrote on X, the platform that was originally known as Twitter.

Ngonge, 23, left FC Groningen to join Verona in January of last year. In 36 games across all competitions, Ngonge scored 11 goals and dished out three assists.

Napoli, who also finalised the acquisitions of Pasquale Mazzocchi and Hamed Traore earlier this month, defeated Fiorentina 3-0 on Thursday to go to the Italian Supercup final.

In the Serie A standings, they are ranked seventh.
