South Africa and Morocco will play in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 final match on Tuesday night at Stade de San Pedro.
After this game, the victor advances to the quarterfinals, where they will play Cape Verde, who on Monday defeated Mauritania 1-0.
Morocco, who were many people’s presumptive favourites to win the tournament even before the first ball was kicked, is going for their second AFCON crown ever.

In the first game, the Atlas Lions performed as expected, easily eliminating Tanzania, the group’s underdogs, 3-0.
.In two of their last three AFCON outings, Bafana Bafana has advanced to the quarterfinals; they will be looking to repeat that performance when they play Morocco.
With three wins from eight matches, two loses, and three draws to round out the record, South Africa has a slight advantage in this matchup.
The last time these teams faced off at an AFCON, though, the Atlas Lions took home the victory. But in the five times the two teams had faced off in the tournament’s history, South Africa had prevailed twice and the other two ended in draws. That was their lone victory.
