In their Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal match on Saturday at Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, Cape Verde and South Africa aim to secure historic victories.
While their rivals aim to make it to the semi-finals for the first time since 2000, the Blue Sharks have never gone past this point in the competition.
Just nine teams remain in the competition, and only Angola have scored more goals than Cape Verde’s eight as of the quarterfinals. Bubista’s team trailed the Palancas Negras in the round of 16 after scoring just one against Mauritania.
