The Rangers International Football Club has made midseason transfer to increase their prospects of winning the 2023–2024 National Premier Football League (NPFL), which kicks off on February 14, 2024.
The players are: Zulkifilu Mohammed Rabiu, a support striker who last played for Lobi Stars; Odo Joshua Chidiebere, a centre forward who can play on both flanks; and Uchenna Ezeala, a central defender who previously played for Go-Round F.C.
The other players are Ogbodo Kelechi Emmanuel, a midfielder from Disdeft Football Academy who can play both offensively and centrally, Nebo Tochukwu Kingsley, a left winger from Olicon Rovers F.C. in Enugu, and Aniji Ifeanyichukwu Michael, an attacking midfielder from Flying Angels F.C.
The players that were loaned out to teams in the premier and lower divisions would be replaced by the new players, including Joel Okoro, Leonard Ugochukwu, Malachi Ohawume, Jonas Emmanuel, Barnabas Ingya, and a few more.
According to Rangers CEO Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, the new players are superb legs who will help the coaching staff put together the best team possible to compete for league and federation cup crowns.
“We are glad we were able to complete these deals that would surely give the coaches enough opportunities to make selections that would help us challenge for honors this season and beyond.
” We went for experience and youthful players and it is my belief that they will deliver the goods when it is needed.”
