Friendly Birthday boy Olunga with hat-trick as Kenya defeat Zimbabwe

Kenya striker Michael Olunga scored three goals as Harambee Stars silenced Zimbabwe 3-0 to lift the Four Nations tournament trophy at Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe on Tuesday.

It was the Warriors, who took an early lead when defender Joseph Okumu scored into his net with only five minutes played before Olunga, who was celebrating his 30th birthday, put Kenya level in the 45th minute for 1-1 result at the half-time break.

On resumption, the towering Olunga put Kenya ahead for the first time in the game in the 62nd minute before he wrapped up the emphatic victory with a clinical finish in the 86th minute. Having beaten Malawi 4-0 in the opener, Kenya were handed the trophy, the first one under Engin Firat, who was appointed in 2021.
