Chelsea Palmer Scores Second Hat Trick For Chelsea

Cole Palmer, a midfielder for Chelsea, scored three goals in the first half of his team’s Premier League encounter against Everton on Monday, earning him his second straight hat-trick at Stamford Bridge.

After 13 minutes, he scored the opening goal after nutmegging Jared Branthwaite, partnering with Nicolas Jackson on a one-two, and putting a shot past a diving Jordan Pickford from the edge of the box.

Five minutes later, Pickford parried a Jackson effort straight to Palmer, who punched it into the empty net.

More deft passing, though mixed with some hesitant Everton defending, set up the second goal.

After 29 minutes, Pickford error gave Chelsea their third as Palmer intercepted his clearance 30 metres out and skillfully chipped the goalie, retreating, with his weaker foot.

Palmer’s April 4 victory over Manchester United, in which he scored three goals—two of which came in stoppage time—was his second Stamford Bridge hat-trick in as many games.

Palmer has already scored 22 goals this season, becoming the first Chelsea player to do so since Eden Hazard in the 2018–19 campaign.

Jackson also found the goal after 44 minutes, with Chelsea up 4-0 at the break.
