Simba SC assistant coach Selemani Matola has described the this week’s Dar es Salaam derby against Young Africans (Yanga SC) as a do or die match saying only a win will put them back in the title race.
He made the remarks over the weekend following a 1-1 draw against Ihefu in a tense Premier League match at Liti Stadium in Singida. “To continue to be in the race for the league title, there is no way out other than winning the derby…it will be a do or die match and we will have enough time to prepare for it,” Matola said.
Commenting on the draw itself, he bemoaned about his outfits’ profligacy admitting that they have not yet sorted out the problem in their team.
“If Freddy Kouablan used well the scoring chances we made, we could have emerged big winners today (Saturday) but many opportunities were wasted. We will keep working to improve,” he said.
