Premier League Liverpool urged to pay Mo Salah ‘top dollar’ or they’ll loose him

With Mohamed Salah entering the last two years of his contract at Liverpool, the club has been told to show him contract extension proposal with lots of money or he will leave.

The 28-year old has been arguably the most valuable Reds player since joining them in 2017 from AS Roma.

Salah indeed scored 98 goals and 36 assists in 159 appearances in Premier League, becoming the second African top scorer in the English top-flight history behind Chelsea legend Didier Drogba who has 105 goals to his name.

However, Salah’s contract renewal is getting complicated despite the club being focused on him after extending five of their key pillars.

His agent Ramy Abbas Issa sent Liverpool officials a warning message following the Paharaoh’s display in Premier League opener against Norwich.

According to former Manchester City star Trevor Sinclair, Liverpool have to extend Salah’s contract and make of him the club’s top earner as he deserves it through his figures.

“He is a great player and a great goalscorer and unless Liverpool want to risk losing him, they’ve got to give him top dollar,” Sinclair told talkSPORT.

“Because I feel he deserves it. I think he’s their best player, I really do. We’re talking about Liverpool, so the top earner at Liverpool would be Van Dijk, he’s got to be superseding that.

“He’s a goalscorer, it’s much more difficult to score goals than it is to do anything else on a football pitch and he does that easily.”
