The Mogadisco stadium was built in 1977. But in 1991, the country fell into chaos and several years of civil war ensued. Somalia is also prohibited from hosting home games. It is therefore only recently and with the normalization of things that the country has obtained the right to receive at home.

In addition, with the support of FIFA, a new stadium is under construction in the port city of Kismayo (Waamo Football Stadium).
