Having suffered a bothering knee injury that has affected his season, Ghana’s international striker Samuel Afum of Swiss Super League side Young Boys eventually opted for a surgery in order to enjoy his football career.
According to information confirmed by Ghanasoccernet.com, the former Hearts of Oak star passed successfully under the knife on Monday morning.
Afum is expected to resume trainings in January and get ready for the second round of the Swiss Super league season.
He was substituted during their Sunday’s 2-2 draw against FC Basel.
Afum already striked five times for Young Boys in all competitions this season.
