Basket-ball NBA Raptors: Masai Ujiri trades Rudy Gay to get rebuilt

PJT-Raptors-4.jpgIt is now six months since the Toronto Raptors have not been that successful in the NBA. The Raptors general manager of Nigerian origin Masai Ujiri engaged in rebuilding his franchise, opted for trading some of his players with the Sacramento Kings.
The Nigerian manager after NBA official approval on Monday enjoys the reception of Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, John Salmons and Chuck Hayes from the Kings in exchange for Aaron Gray, Quincy Acy and Rudy Gay.
Gay, who was traded from Memphis to Toronto last season, is in his eighth NBA season. He’s averaging 18 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his career.

Sacramento (5-13) had lost six straight games until beating the NBA-worst Utah Jazz on Saturday night. The Kings are hoping Gay can provide immediate help while convincing him to stay long term.

Waiting to see how influential this trade will be to Ujiri and the Raptors.
