Tanzania’s Yanga SC have sacked their Burundian coach Cedric Kaze over alleged poor performance.

Yanga have confirmed in a statement the dismissal of the Barcelona Academy-trained mentor.

The management of Yanga SC would like to inform the public that it has reached into an agreement to dismiss the entire technical bench of the club,” the club’s statement reads.

Following the decision, Yanga have dismissed head coach Cedric Kaze, assistants coach Nizar Halfan, physiotherapist Edem Mortoisi, the goalkeeper’s coach Vladimir Niyonkuru and the head of security Mussa Mahundi.”

The team has since urged its supporters to be patient as the search for a new coaching panel begins.

Kaze got the bullet after a 1-1 draw with Police of Tanzania on Sunday.

The previous week, Yanga had their unbeaten run end when they lost 2-1 to Costal Union.

Kaze had replaced Belgian Luc Eymael who was released last year after allegedly making racist remarks. Eymael denies such accusations.
