African players abroad “Don’t Give Iheanacho The Chance In And Around The Box,” Southampton Boss Warns Players

Southampton are facing Leicester City in English Premier League game at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Friday night. And Leicester’s most in-form striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is under the spotlights.

Heading into the fixture, the Nigeria national teamer has tallied nine goals in his last seven top-flight appearances. And he is the current Premier League Player of the Month.

Given that Iheanacho is in red-hot form, the Foxes number 14 could have a major say in the outcome of the game.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl acknowledged that Iheanacho is a threat. And he revealed how he plans to deal with the attacker.

He (Iheanacho) did a good job in the last game. He has one chance. And this chance was a goal. So the rest of the game I didn’t see him to be honest.” The Austrian football tactician told reporters.

You must be always careful. Don’t give him the chance in and around the box. He has a very good finish, self confident at the moment.

“Premier League teams have strikers that are strong. And they can hurt you.”

In nine previous meetings against Southampton across all competitions, Iheanacho has scored four goals. Only against Aston Villa, he has scored more (6).
