Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann admits it will not be easy for his team to defend against PSG duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe when they face off on Wednesday night (20:00 GMT).
Two weeks after Bayern Munich’s 1-0 away win at Parc des Princes, both teams will reunite on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their UEFA Champions league last 16 tie.
The German side have the edge over their opponents but Nagelsmann is not taking the quarterfinal post for granted as PSG have Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

“Messi and Mbappé are one of the best duos in the world. It’s not easy to defend them. Mbappé looks for deep runs behind the defensive line, while Messi tries to pass the ball to him. They are very quick in their movements, play one-two’s and look for each other”, the German gaffer said.
“In addition, there are also the players around them. It won’t be easy but we have a good idea of how to contain Messi and control the spaces better than we did in the last 20 minutes in Paris. Luckily, we also have a great goalkeeper.
“His [Kylian Mbappe] substitution in the first leg had an effect on PSG and also on us. He’s one of the best strikers in the world. The approach changes when he plays. Tomorrow he will start. It’s about solving things collectively. We are definitely well prepared.”
